Job Description:

Test and Evaluation Engineer

Location: Aberdeen, MD (Telework up to 2 Days/Week)

Serve as a T&E Engineer

Develop program/product T&E strategy, approach, process, schedule, and resource requirements

Responsible for day-to-day management of test activities at selected test facilities, including:

o Resolution of test execution issues
o Chairing daily test update meetings
o T&E working integrated product teams
o Management of contractor and/or on-site PM test representatives o Tracking of test progress

Generate test documentation including:
o Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs)
o Specific test plans and schedules
o Test reports in support of Milestone Decisions and Material Release

Manage the implementation of an evaluation methodology and framework for products/systems under test

Collaborate with a variety or teams and external Government organizations

Review PMO documentation to ensure consistency with T&E Policy, Guidance, and Standards

Provide technical advice for system engineering and value management technologies applicable to the test


  • Bachelor’s Degree of Science
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience coordinating and executing C5ISR systems tests
  • Experience managing the test cost, schedule, scope, and risk throughout the program lifecycles
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing system performance against operational requirements for testing
  • Expertise with developing and applying measures of performance and effectiveness
  • Knowledge of DoD T&E policies and practices, including DoDI 5000.89
  • Familiarity with the use of databases and automated tools
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • DAU Level III or Practitioner certification in Test & Evaluation
  • Hands-on experience with EW and/or SIGINT systems testing
