MEO STAFFING

Job Description
Plumbing Engineer/Designer:

Plumbing designer with 5+ years’ experience in HVAC design.  Pay range may vary depending on experience and capabilities.
Proficient/experienced with using/applying AutoCad and Revit.
3-6 years’ experience in HVAC design is a plus.
An additional characteristic we look for is length(s) of previous engagements.  To us, multiple short-term engagements are indicators of possible inability to get along well with others and/or failure to provide quality work that employers require.   We look for people who show the ability to stay with firms for extended periods of time as it is an indicator of their likelihood to stay with us.

Benefits Include the Following:

We offer two weeks of vacation (Paid Time Off) per year at the start of employment, with three weeks’ vacation after 5 years, and four weeks’ vacation after 10 years with the company.
In addition to personal vacation, the company observes paid annual holidays.  These currently include New Year’s Day, Good Friday (or as an option – Easter Monday), Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.  In the event a holiday falls on a weekend day, we will take either the preceding Friday or the following Monday as we decide collectively. We also offer one “floating” holiday to each staff member to be used at each employee’s discretion, for example, birthday, anniversary, Veteran’s Day, etc., for a total of 10 paid holidays.
We also offer medical insurance.  This coverage is for medical, vision, and dental insurance, and is paid for by the company as a benefit.
In addition, we offer both short-term and long-term disability insurance coverage at no cost to the employee.
We also offer a Simple IRA (SIRA) investment option where the company will match up to 3% of your salary.
We are on a hybrid work schedule.  We are currently in the office on Wednesdays and remote the rest of the week.
We will pay relocation expenses.

Job Seeker Services

MEO Staffing presents itself to potential employers as a diversity staffing service. Companies retain our services because we specialize in working with people with disabilities and other challenges. At MEO Staffing, we follow the guidelines of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and will not directly ask you what is your disability or challenge. However, we will ask you what type of accommodations you anticipate needing in the workplace and encourage you to self-disclose to our staff. It allows the job placement specialist to understand your current challenges so that we can match you to a suitable job where your disability (or other challenge) will not interfere with your ability to work or perform the essential functions of the job.

Employers who source through MEO Staffing may be eligible for tax credits because you have challenges. If hired, we will assist them, when available with the WOTC tax credit paperwork.   MEO Staffing will not discuss details of your disability to the prospective employer; only what accommodations you might need.  For example, MEO Staffing may disclose to the employer that you need a wheelchair entrance and accessible bathroom or that you cannot climb stairs.  With many of our work from home jobs, workers can easily accommodate themselves; for example, standing and stretching every hour to prevent back pain is a type of accomodation that employers do not necessarily need to know about.

We want to make sure that you understand that we are not able to force employers to accommodate an employee beyond the essential job functions of your position and that not every employment opportunity will be a good fit for you.  MEO Staffing will do our best to ensure that you have the skills and abilities for the job so both you and your employer will enjoy the success of the program. We look forward to working with you and helping you find suitable employment.
