Full Time (Direct Hire) – C++ Programmer Opportunity in St. Petersburg, Florida

Join our client in the payments industry as a valued C++ Programmer. This role, based in St. Petersburg, Florida, offers a local-based hybrid or remote position for those outside the area, accommodating EST business hours.

In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for designing, constructing, and maintaining applications using C++ code. Your expertise will be crucial in employing robust analytic thinking to identify, debug, and resolve technical issues. Collaboration is key as you’ll work alongside fellow developers, actively engaging in regular code reviews.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Demonstrated proficiency in C++ development (Windows OS, Linux a plus)
Comprehensive knowledge of standard library, STL containers, and algorithms
Proficiency in code versioning tools (GIT, SVN, Mercurial, or similar)
Familiarity with low-level threading primitives and real-time environments
Strong problem-solving skills aligned with Agile development methodologies
Bonus points for experience in network socket communications, POS terminal software development, REST APIs (using Postman), and familiarity with Verifone device and development platform
Background check criteria: Full Criminal, SSN Search, DL #, and Credit checks.
